*I thought that writing a blog on traditional photography needs an explanation... Especially on the week when Kodak filed for bankruptcy protection. The very company that invented the first hand-held camera! Digital silently took over from film. Are pictures still valued as much as they were let's say only 20 years ago? Or is that just time that makes them look interesting, and today's photos have always been inevitably dull?

But then, how do you explain iPhone's Hipstamatic application that brings back the feel of those cheap plastic toy cameras? And the ever growing interest (and market) of the originally Russian made Holga cameras and the Lomography movement? Are we getting sick of digital?

No, that's not the case. I don't see people desperately getting rid of their printers to replace them with the good old typewriters! And yes, Excel is a lot more efficient than a mechanical calculator. So logically thinking we're better off with digital!

However, I think photography is not about efficiency. Taking pictures is about transmitting feelings and emotions, and no, there is no need to involve a computer to do that!

I will dedicate this blog to show you some of my photos taken with cameras that most of you have in the attic, catching dust... With time, you might give them a second chance too.... Shoot film!!!
